Thyroid surgery under local anesthesia by Dr. Kamran

Doctor Kamran says about this surgery, "I did this surgery few months ago at my welfare hospital, The patient was resident of a remote area of Pakistan, was unable to get his surgery done because of multiple risk factors, he had a huge thyroid causing respiratory difficulty. The Thyroid was in such a bad shape that it was not possible to pass an endotreacheal tube to him. So I decided to operate him under local anesthesia. It took me 3 hours to complete the operation, a team of doctors was monitoring the patient .The surgery went fine; patient was pain free during the operation. Patient walked out of the operation theater after the surgery." |
